Thursday, August 27, 2009 PT 1

    Thursday saw our group board a bus early in the morning and head out to Lake Tahoe for a lunch cruise on the lake aboard the MS Dixie II. The cruise took in many of the scenic views of Lake Tahoe. During the cruise we were served a delicious buffet lunch. Upon returning to the hotel our members relaxed before heading out for Louis Basque Corner, a restaurant that specialized in Basque style food and family dining style. And while there were many "different" items on the menu (Ox Tail Soup, Sweetbreads, etc.) our members all found something to satisfy the pallet. How about them French Fries? Upon returning to the hotel we held our annual cake cutting ceremony in which Billy Morrow was he oldest member present and Debbie Howery, the youngest. After a full day of touring and a belly full of Basque food and cake, the tired group turned in for the night (well, most everyone) to get ready for Friday's tours.
